Probiotic Turmeric Mango Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup kefir, yogurt or coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks or 1 fresh mango + 3 ice cubes
  • 1 banana
  • 1-2 inch piece of fresh turmeric root or 1/2 teaspoon dried
  • Sliver of fresh ginger or 1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

Instructions

  • Blend everything in a blender. Enjoy right away.

Notes

You can use 1 tablespoon of chia seeds for thick smoothie bowl.
Swallow 2-3 peppercorns like pills, to improve absorption of circumin (active component of turmeric).
The color can vary from bright yellow to muted yellow.
